Launching the Chagos Information Portal on World Oceans Day 2017
The Chagos Information Portal, known as ChIP, is a reference library of a science, research and conservation work conducted in the Chagos Archipelago.
The interactive map gives you a chance to explore the islands and learn about the plants and animals living there using scientific resources, videos, photos and datasets.
Visit Birds of Chagos and Corals of Chagos – online encyclopedias of the biodiversity of the Chagos Archipelago.
Thanks to the John Ellerman Foundation ChIP will continue to grow with new information as researchers and conservationist learn more about this iconic ecosystem.
We hope you enjoy exploring and learning about this amazing place!
