The latest issue of Chagos News has been published, and is available to read on the Trust’s website here

The annual publication features an article about CCT’s Programme Manager Dr Pete Carr’s trip back to the isolated Chagos island of Vache Marine in Peros Banhos, six years after it has been formally declared rat-free. An important milestone, as he prepares to undertake rat eradication on other Chagos islands as part of our Healthy islands, Healthy Reefs rewilding project.

Issue 62 also features articles about the latest scientific research work being carried out in the Chagos Archipelago, including an article on coconut crabs by Dr Mark Laidre, cetaceans by Dr Clare Embling, turtles by Dr Holly Stokes, plus plants and invertebrates.

Chagos News is edited by Chagos Conservation Trust Director, Sarah Puntan-Galea, and designed by Michelle Bhatia.
