Chagos 20/20: a successful conference

On Monday 18th November we held our annual scientific conference about the Chagos Archipelago. The theme this year was “CCT’s vision for the future of science in the Chagos Archipelago, based on 20 years of research”.
Held at the Zoological Society of London’s Huxley theatre, the conference was supported by the Pew Charitable Trusts, Defra’s Darwin Initiative and ZSL.
We would like to extend a big thank you to our fantastic speakers who travelled from as far as Hawaii and the Seychelles to share their latest scientific research about the Chagos Islands.
We opened conference with our new film which you can now view on our YouTube channel. We will also shortly be posting videos of the conference presentations there and will notify you when these are live.
We look forward to seeing many of you next year so that we can continue to build new knowledge, expertise and relationships to help protect this globally important part of the Indian Ocean.
