CCT is pleased to announce that Jean- Francois Nellan has joined the Board of Trustees.
Jean-Francois is a third generation of Chagossian descent and an active member of Chagossian Voices, a community platform for the Chagossian global diaspora, therefore he is in touch with a wide range of community members here in the UK and Mauritius.
“I am joining the board member as a community member of Chagossian descent and hope that by doing so this will allow the community to have a voice over the future and the conservation of their homeland and the surrounding environment.”
He is a Senior Finance Analyst at Rolls-Royce Plc where he has developed an excellent understanding of business finance after completing a Degree (BA Honour) in Accounting and Finance at the University of Derby.
“I hope I can make a valuable contribution by providing not only community insights, but also ideas that help improve the performance and delivery of business initiatives that will be integral for the 2022 strategic aims”

Jean-Francois was a governor at Lakeside Primary School in Derby and is a member of Lions Club International. He has also appeared in numerous well-known British and American TV shows and films!
“We’re so glad that Jean-Francois has joined the board and look forward to furthering our relationship with the community” said CCT Director, Helen Pitman.
