CCT statement on the sovereignty changes over the Chagos Archipelago

In relation to the joint statement from governments of the Republic of Mauritius and the UK on the Chagos Archipelago, including Diego Garcia, on 3 October 2024:

The Chagos Conservation Trust welcomes the commitment to the continued protection of the unique and precious environment of the Chagos Archipelago, and the seas around them, by the Mauritian Government in their joint statement with the UK today. The Trust will, and has always worked with every like-minded organisation, institution, community member and the wider public, and looks forward to continuing its rewilding project together with the new administration.
